You should! Mature students unite!! 🙂 I think that to a certain extent, all mature students share the same fears, dreams and challenges, but your perspective is unique, as is mine. Part of the reason I wrote the book is because there isn’t really anything like this out there (that I could find, anyway). There can never be too much information available on this subject, I think!

I went back to school 3 years ago. I could not find anything anywhere on what to expect. I remember sitting in my first class feeling absolutely terrified and quite dumb. Now, I love school and only have 4 classes left until I graduate! I would love to pursue my Master’s Degree in the future.

Congratulations in advance! I know what you mean, I felt so sad knowing I couldn’t carry on studying for my Masters right away…. I just couldn’t afford to fund it, but I plan to go back once I can 🙂 Just soak it up whilst you’re still there 🙂

Thank you! I will not be able to afford it either unless the school hires me as a TA and pays for it. The same fear begins to surface, ” will they think I am too old?”

Age only equals experience – when it comes to teaching, I don’t think they see you in terms of ‘young’ or ‘old’.They only see talent, and motivation, and dedication… if you have that, they’d be lucky to have you. Don’t give up hope 🙂
